Job Description
As a Computer Repair Technician, you will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing computer hardware and software issues. You will work on both personal computers and corporate systems, providing solutions to problems related to performance, security, and functionality. This role requires technical expertise, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills to ensure that systems are restored and functioning optimally.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose hardware and software issues in desktops, laptops, and servers.
- Repair or replace malfunctioning parts such as hard drives, memory, and power supplies.
- Install and update software, drivers, and operating systems.
- Perform data backups and recovery for clients.
- Ensure systems are secure and troubleshoot network connectivity issues.
- Maintain records of repairs, parts used, and service performed.
- Provide technical support to clients via phone or in person.
- Stay updated with the latest technological developments and trends.
Skill & Experience
- At least 1 year of experience in computer repair or IT support.
- Strong knowledge of computer hardware, operating systems, and software applications.
- Ability to troubleshoot and repair hardware and software issues efficiently.
- Familiarity with computer repair tools and diagnostic software.
- A+ Certification or equivalent IT certification is preferred.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- High school diploma or equivalent; further technical certifications are a plus.
