UserTesting was founded in 2007 by Darrell Benatar and Dave Garr with the goal of making user research more accessible and scalable. The company pioneered remote usability testing, allowing businesses to collect insights from targeted audiences quickly. In 2022, UserTesting was acquired by private equity firms Thoma Bravo and Sunstone Partners and merged with UserZoom, expanding its capabilities in digital experience research.
