Job Description

SmileDirectClub is seeking a talented and detail-oriented Digital Imaging Technician to join our team. As part of our dedicated dental team, the Digital Imaging Technician will play a crucial role in capturing and processing high-quality digital images that are essential for the creation of personalized aligners for our customers. You will work closely with our dental professionals to ensure accurate imaging and maintain a seamless workflow to support our teledentistry services. Key Responsibilities

  • Capture and process high-quality digital images, including 3D scans, intraoral photos, and X-rays, to assist in treatment planning and aligner creation.
  • Ensure all imaging is performed with precision and adheres to SmileDirectClub’s guidelines and quality standards.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve any imaging-related issues, ensuring all equipment is properly maintained and calibrated.
  • Collaborate with dental professionals to ensure accuracy in digital records and treatment progress.
  • Assist in the setup, operation, and maintenance of digital imaging equipment and software.
  • Document and track patient imaging records and ensure all data is stored securely and accurately.
  • Provide exceptional customer service by helping patients feel comfortable during the imaging process.
  • Work closely with the SmileDirectClub team to support a smooth workflow, ensuring timely treatment delivery.

Skill & Experience

  • Associate’s degree or relevant certification in dental technology, imaging, or a related field (preferred).
  • Proven experience with digital imaging technologies, including 3D scanning, intraoral cameras, and dental X-rays.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high-quality imaging standards.
  • Familiarity with dental imaging software and the ability to troubleshoot technical issues.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with both patients and the dental team.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive patient information with professionalism.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Prior experience in a dental office or orthodontic setting is a plus.
